Mysore Cafe

When a South Indian culinary institution dating back to 1979 found itself fading into Delhi's restaurant background, they needed more than a refresh—they needed resurrection. Our challenge was transforming Mysore Cafe from a forgotten relic into a redefined classic that could reclaim its rightful place in Connaught Place's dining consciousness, all while honoring its authentic South Indian heritage and four decades of dosa dominance.

Tradition reframed, deliciously reimagined

We crafted an identity system that doesn't just nod to South Indian cuisine—it celebrates it with geometric precision and playful reverence.

We crafted an identity system that doesn't just nod to South Indian cuisine—it celebrates it with geometric precision and playful reverence.

The centerpiece: a meticulously gridded logo that deconstructs culinary staples—idli, sambar, vada, dosa, laddoo, chai—into a modernist arrangement that feels simultaneously nostalgic and newborn.

Our color palette embraces the unapologetic verde of banana leaves (nature's original serving platter), while collaterals declare “The Good, The Rad & The Idli” and warn that “Kaiser dosa is coming for you” with the confidence of a restaurant that's been perfecting its craft since the disco era. By deliberately balancing cultural authenticity with contemporary wit, we positioned Mysore Cafe as neither trendy upstart nor dusty institution, but rather as the coolest culinary elder in town—the one with stories worth hearing and flavors worth experiencing.

The result goes beyond just a rebrand; proving that in Delhi's ever-evolving dining landscape, sometimes the most revolutionary act is simply remembering who you've always been, just with better typography.
